In case of bad weather, the decision to confirm the program or not is always up to the guide. They will inform the guests of the possible changes the evening before the tour. In the morning, the guide will make their decision by evaluating if there are adequate weather conditions to ride safely without excessive risks.
If the tour cannot be taken, H&B will propose its guests some excursions, for some of which an additional extra cost may be required.

Start Location: Radda in Chianti / Finish location: San Quirico d’Orcia / Total distance: 375km / Total elevation: 6600m / Days riding: 6 / Group size: max 8 guests

Riding over rolling hills, through medieval villages among vineyards and olive groves, through countryside that offers breathtaking views at every turn, on roads with almost no cars. And then… the strade bianche. This is every cyclist’s dream. His paradise. It is the perfect playground for your unforgettable bike week.

Each day after the ride, enjoy the hotel SPA area for your rest, have a relaxing massage, or lie in the sun by the pool. But we’ll also have the opportunity to visit a prestigious Chianti Classico wine producer, with the option of a wine tasting or, if you wish, a cooking class where you can learn the art of making authentic italian pasta.
Arrival at Florence train station (or airport) and transfer to our hotel in Radda in Chianti. A short tour to help you get perfectly settled on your bike, followed by some rest and relaxation before dinner.
The first stage takes us straight into the heart of Chianti. In Gaiole, we will experience our first taste of dirt roads and gentle ups and downs among the vineyards, before reaching the historic Castello di Brolio. On the way back, we’ll stop in San Sano for a coffee or perhaps a glass of fine wine.
A few kilometers to reach Castellina, where a long descent leads to the foot of the fortress of Monteriggioni. A stop in this magnificent medieval village is a mandatory. The return route is characterized by a long but gentle climb, offering several panoramic points along the way. Before returning to the hotel we will have time to enjoy a pizza and an ice cream.
Today’s stage is a transfer from the Chianti region to the Val d’Orcia. With a fast descent we reach Siena, where we make a stop at the legendary Piazza del Campo. Continuing on, the colours of the Sienese hills completely transform the landscape. Of course, we will ride some stretches of gravel road to fully experience the iconic Strade Bianche.
Today’s route passes through the beautiful towns of Pienza and Montepulciano. It is a journey immersed in the natural and historical beauty of the Val d’Orcia, one of Tuscany’s most iconic landscapes. The entire route is characterized by rolling hills, golden fields, cypresses and white roads that represent the heart of cycling tourism in this area.
Our last ride together is a spectacular itinerary, perfect for those who love cycling through history, culture and the most authentic landscapes of Tuscany. Towards Montalcino, the road climbs between Brunello vineyards, one of the most famous wines in the world. The climb is steady, but the views of this iconic area of Tuscany are a real reward for the effort…
