What if it rains?

In case of bad weather, the decision to confirm the program or not is always up to the guide. They will inform the guests of the possible changes the evening before the tour. In the morning, the guide will make their decision by evaluating if there are adequate weather conditions to ride safely without excessive risks.

If the tour cannot be taken, H&B will propose its guests some excursions, for some of which an additional extra cost may be required.

Don’t miss this magnificent opportunity and book now! we have only one date scheduled for 2025, and the group will be limited to just 8 cyclists, to offer you just the highest quality and an unforgettable week.

New route 2025 - Stage 3

We have modified the route for the third stage of the Dolomiti Tour 2025, which will now lead us to Selva di Val Gardena. The ascent is long, stretching over several kilometers, but it remains manageable and not overly steep. As we pedal higher, the landscape transforms into the dramatic beauty of the Dolomites, with towering peaks and lush alpine meadows.

We will pass through the quaint village of Ortisei, before continuing on to Selva di Val Gardena. This final stretch offers breathtaking views of one of the most stunning valleys in the Dolomites, known for its majestic mountain ranges and serene environment.

Day by day breakdown

Day 1Sunday. Arrival in Milan Malpensa

Welcome to Italy! The appointment is at Milan Malpensa airport. Only 30 minutes and we are in Moltrasio, a small village not far from Como.

Day 2Monday. Stage 1 - Lake Como to Valtellina. 68km - 600m D+

The first stage of our tour has an easy and almost completely flat route, which leads us to discover the beauty of Lake Como. Initially we cycle along the western shore and, having arrived at Menaggio by ferry, we reach the beautiful village of Varenna, which seems to be painted on the hillside and is reflected in the lake. A few kilometres and we are in Piona, and a visit to the Abbey of the Cistercian Friars is almost a must.  A mystical place enveloped in the silence of the lake. But the SPA of our hotel awaits us…

Day 3Tuesday. Stage 2 - The Stelvio pass. 107km - 1840m D+

Today we start climbing …. and we do it with the most iconic and famous cycling climb: the Stelvio. A few kilometres into the valley to warm up the legs and reach Bormio, where the climb begins. 22 km, 36 hairpin bends, average steep of 7.5%, with sections at 14%, altitude of 2785 metres.

A real challenge to yourself. At the top, however, the satisfaction will be immense.

A short break to recover energy and wear clothes suitable for the long descent to the Val Venosta. We will easily ride the last stretch of this first stage in beautiful mountain scenery. We are now into Dolomites!

Day 4Wednesday. Stage 3 - Val Gardena. 90km - 1500m D+

In the first half of the route, we’ll ride along a picturesque bike path that follows the Adige River. This segment provides a scenic and flat ride, perfect for warming up and enjoying the natural beauty of the riverbanks. After passing through Bolzano, the bike path continues into the Isarco Valley, gently ascending as it traces the course of the Isarco River.

Upon reaching Chiusa, the climb toward Val Gardena begins.

Our chosen hotel in Selva di Val Gardena offers the perfect retreat after a day of cycling. With stunning panoramic views and comfortable accommodations, it is the ideal place to relax, unwind, and savor the well-deserved rest, surrounded by the peaceful beauty of the mountains.

Day 5Thursday. Stage 4. Sella Ronda Dolomitess. 61km - 2000m D+

Today is ‘tappone’ day. We are in the heart of the Dolomites, and today’s route is here called the ‘Sella Ronda’. It is the classic tour of the four Alpine passes, perhaps the most famous. One after the other, past Canazei, we will face the Sella, Gardena, Campolongo and the legendary Pordoi.

At the top of each pass, awaiting everyone’s arrival, we will have the possibility of a refreshment stop and the necessary change of clothes. The guides will give you the necessary assistance to complete this difficult but fantastic route that will certainly remain in your memory.

Day 6Friday. Stage 5 Valles and Rolle pass. 89km - 1700m D+

Today’s stage is quite short, but to get to San Martino we first have to climb three other Alpine passes. Our last Dolomitic passes. First the San Pellegrino, which has some challenging sections but also stretches where you can breathe. Immediately afterwards comes Valles, which will demand more effort in its 6 km length. Finally the Rolle, which on this side is the shortest and least demanding. With a quick descent we soon reach San Martino di Castrozza.

Day 7Saturday. Stage 6 - The Prosecco stage. 70km - 710m D+

This is the last stage of this Tour, and like the Giro d’Italia, it will be a pleasant 70-kilometre ride to pedal all together, taking us to the land where Prosecco is born. There won’t be a finish line, and there won’t even be a winner, but there will certainly be a glass of excellent wine waiting for us all, happy to have completed this beautiful adventure.

Day 8Sunday. Departure from Verona or other airport

It’s our last day and after breakfast we say goodbye, hoping to see you soon to ride together again. If you have requested it, our staff will take care of the transfer to the airport. If, on the other hand, you have arrived on your own, our staff will take you back to where we started.
